Relocating across the country is no small feat—especially when you’ve got a home under agreement on the West Coast and a short window to find the right place to land. That was the case for a recent buyer family I had the pleasure of working with as they made their move from California to Massachusetts.
Their goal? A newer home—something modern and move-in ready—with four bedrooms, space for extended family visits, and a location that felt like a community while still being within an hour of Boston. Oh, and we had three days to find it.

Then came the buyer tour: three strategic days packed with private showings, insight into each market, and ongoing conversations about what really felt right. It wasn’t just about seeing homes—it was about helping them visualize their life here.
They saw several homes, but the very first one they toured stood out from the beginning: a beautiful young colonial at 11 Northern Spy in Franklin. Even though it was love at first sight, we continued viewing other properties (as I always recommend) just to be sure—and to prepare backup plans with different offer deadlines.

When it came time to submit an offer, we knew competition was fierce. Multiple buyers were interested, and timing was critical. Through strong communication between myself, the lender, and the listing agent, we submitted a clean and compelling offer—one that respected the sellers’ needs while keeping my buyers fully comfortable.
The result? We won. 🙌
