You don’t need to be buying or selling a home to have a real estate question.
A lot of people assume they should only call a real estate agent when they’re ready to make a move. But some of the conversations I have with homeowners have nothing to do with putting a house on the market.
Sometimes you just have a question.
Should I renovate this?
Maybe you’re thinking about redoing your kitchen, finishing the basement, adding a bathroom, or taking on a bigger renovation.
Before you spend the money, it can be helpful to understand how buyers might view the project and whether it could affect your home’s value.
That doesn’t mean every renovation needs to be about resale. You live in your house, and it should work for you. But if resale value is part of your decision, I’m happy to talk it through with you.
What’s my house worth?
You don’t have to be thinking about selling to wonder what your home is worth.
Maybe you’re looking at your overall finances. Maybe a neighbor’s house just sold and you’re curious. Or maybe you simply haven’t checked in on your home’s value in a few years.
I can help you understand what’s happening in your neighborhood and how your home compares with recent sales.
Do you know a good contractor?
This might be one of the questions I get most often.
Contractors, painters, plumbers, electricians, landscapers, organizers, cleaners — when you work in real estate, you build a pretty extensive network of people who help take care of homes.
If I know someone I trust who may be able to help, I’m always happy to make an introduction.
What did that house down the street sell for?
Yes. You can absolutely ask me.
Sometimes you’re just curious! But a nearby sale can also give you useful information about your neighborhood and your own property.
And the final sales price doesn't always tell the whole story. I can help put the sale into context — what condition the house was in, how it compared with other homes, how long it was on the market, and what else was happening in the market at the time.
Would this project add value?
Not every home improvement has to produce a dollar-for-dollar return.
Sometimes a project is worth doing simply because it will make you enjoy your home more.
But if you’re trying to decide between projects, thinking about how long you'll stay in the house, or wondering what future buyers may value, those are conversations I'm happy to have.
What’s happening in the real estate market?
You don’t need to be moving to want to understand what’s happening with home prices, inventory, interest rates, or your particular neighborhood.
And real estate is very local. What you're hearing nationally may not be exactly what we're experiencing here in Needham or elsewhere in MetroWest.
If you're curious about what I'm seeing, ask me.
You Don’t Need a Reason to Reach Out
My job isn't only to help people buy and sell houses. I also want to be a resource for the people in my community before, during, and long after a move.
So if you have a real estate or home-related question, don't worry about whether it's important enough to ask.
Big question. Small question. Buying, selling, or neither. Just ask. I’m always happy to help.
